We at Take Me Home Pet Rescue are all volunteers from North Carolina and New York who rescue animals from high kill shelters and bad situations. Our animals are placed in loving foster homes until their forever home is found. We depend entirely on volunteers, donations and adoptions fees. If you would like to foster and help save lives with us, please fill out a foster application.
Foster responsibilities include:
- Bathing
- Feedings
- Crating while you are not home
- Taking pictures
- Meeting adopters
- Lots of love!
Take Me Home Pet Rescue provides:
- Crate
- Food
- Healthcare
- Leash
- Collar and Harness
- Support
Fosters are responsible for your dog until s/he finds a forever home.
We arrange any and all meets and work with you and your schedule to make connections.
Give your Veterinarian’s office permission to speak to Take Me Home Pet Rescue.

Let your references know that you listed them as a Non-Family member reference. Please give them a heads up that a volunteer from Take Me Home Pet Rescue will be calling.
We need 2 - 5 days to process applications. We promise to reach out to you as soon as possible! Please remember, we are a 100% volunteer run rescue organization.
Are you a renter?? If so, please alert your landlord that a volunteer from Take Me Home Pet Rescue will be calling.
